"Mr Yost is a very good teacher. And he also is a shoulder to lean
on. During the loss of our classmate Kacy Straub, Mr. Yost was there for
anyone who needed to talk. He was personally involved, knowing Kacy as
a golf player. Anyone at anytime could stop into his room, or even his
house to talk or even cry. He also makes his classes fun. He teaches several
math courses including AP Stats, AP Calculus and my Honors Calculus Class.
There is only 9 kids in our whole class and he works with everyone of us
to help with our individual needs. If we have trouble understanding something
he will take the time to make sure we get it for the sake of understanding
it when we enter into college so we know what we are doing. It is not just
me who feels this way but all of my fellow "remedial math" members
(as Yost affectionatly calls us), as well as, I'm sure, his AP Classes.
Mr Yost has offered help not only in school but outside of school as well
and that we can call him day or night but not after 10pm because of his
children. Not many teachers would say that, hence why he is one of a kind
and deserves to be teacher of the week, or even teacher of the year!"
